These being the rear headrests on the new Skoda Superb.

It’s part of a package called the ‘sleep package’.

The rear headrests have a piece either side of the headrest that rotates down and out to cradle your head for when you fall asleep.

Naturally as it’s Skoda, it isn’t just two headrests in the rear, but also to blankets in cases too as well as two ‘lounge steps’ (which I have already) .

But if your going to sleep, why not have a bed, a more proper bed.

Like this ‘Dreamcase’.

Apparently the ‘Sleep Package’ is 255Euros (it’s not an option in the U.K. as far as I’m aware).

It’s an all or nothing item. I’ve found the U.K. price, £325.

For two headrests, two lounge steps* and two blankets.

*These are £95 alone, I was given a set by another Skoda owner.

Racecar safety equipment that keeps the head in place during a wreck.

I would bet the post are the same. Could be acquired from salvage on a few years or as a replacement part from the dealer parts department.

The headrest has been out since 2017, but only on the Kodiaq and very late 2019 on the new Superb, as options. The likelihood of finding one in salvage is almost nil.

But once I find a part number for the headrests, I’ll put a salvage request on the ‘A to Z’.
